How to use our boats:
Our most popular questions and answers on how to drive a boat:
-
No problem, no experience needed! All we need is a valid drivers license and a driver that is at least 18 years old.
-
You will feel absolutely comfortable and confident to captain your own vessel once you have watched our instructional video that is catered to our waters and marinas here on Hilton Head Island, SC. Our elite and educated staff will orient you at the helm, so that you feel at ease and ready to take the wheel!
-
You will see that our Garmin Touch Screen Navigation System makes finding your way as easy as following driving directions on your cell phone. We already have some preprogrammed destinations of some of the most popular spots on the water with a simple line to follow to get there. Your boat is the little dot on the screen, so just keep your little dot on the little line and you can’t get lost! If there is somewhere specific you would love to check out, then just mention it to our crew as you are boarding the boat and they can add it to the Garmin Touch Screen Navigation System if it’s not already there, so you will be sure to get where you want to go!
-
Don’t worry! Even if you don’t know where you are, we do! We have trackers on the boats so if for some reason you still get turned around just give us a call (843-540-7169) and we will talk you through it to get you back on track!
-
Never fear, our staff is here! They will be there to guide you off the dock to help you on your way out and be there to catch you as you come back in.
-
You are correct! And we make it super simple with our depth alarms. You will be able to always see the depth of the waters on our Garmin Touch Screen Navigation System. If you are having a great time out there and all of a sudden hear a sound, check your depth because the alarm will go off when approaching low waters and we recommend that you back up the same way you came in.
